{"id":43077,"date":"2025-11-24T10:03:23","date_gmt":"2025-11-24T15:03:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.\/?p=43077"},"modified":"2025-11-24T10:18:03","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T15:18:03","slug":"reducar-and-the-upn-support-the-creation-of-the-universidad-nacional-de-la-educacion-in-uruguay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.\/en\/reducar-and-the-upn-support-the-creation-of-the-universidad-nacional-de-la-educacion-in-uruguay\/","title":{"rendered":"REDUCAR and the UPN Support the Creation of the Universidad Nacional de la Educaci\u00f3n in Uruguay"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-6a36349c\">\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>The Red Educativa Universitaria de Conocimiento y Acci\u00f3n Regional (REDUCAR), made up of presidents and rectors of pedagogical and education-focused universities across Latin America and the Caribbean, has formally expressed its support, through an official letter, for the initiative to establish the Universidad Nacional de la Educaci\u00f3n (UNE) in the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The letter was signed by Helberth Augusto Choachi Gonz\u00e1lez, rector of our Universidad Pedag\u00f3gica Nacional, as a demonstration of support for this initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the document, REDUCAR highlights that the creation of UNE represents \u201ca fundamental and long-awaited step toward the consolidation of a high-quality educational system with a forward-looking vision.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also underscores that public education is a public good and an inalienable human right, and that the implementation of this university project will not only strengthen teacher education but also help elevate the role of educators in national development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The network affirms that integrating teacher training into the university system will allow educators to develop research capacities and enhance their competencies for generating pedagogical and educational knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, it stresses that teaching, like other professions, requires complex and constantly evolving concepts;
